Automatic Height Adjustment on cutting table type Optimax with Twin and Single cutting head
Procedure and adjustment description:
After a cutting plan was started automatically the Glass-Thickness-Measuring-Pin (touch probe pic.1.1/pic.1.2) will be extracted with 6 bar and positioned over the glass sheet. Then the clamp function cylinder moves the complete cutting head unit down to the glass with touch probe extended. The pressure for the clamp function cylinder needs to be adjusted to 4 bar with the regulator which is installed in the trolley box. The height difference between the bottom edge of the extracted probe and the bottom edge of the retracted cutting wheel/ cutting head piston needs to be 3-4mm. (see pic.1.3). Once the PLC timer has elapsed and the clamp function cylinder has not over traveled we then clamp the function cylinder into position which in turn holds the cutting head assembly in the target position and begin cutting.
Setup Pneumatic Height Adjustment:
- Release the clamp D by manually switching valve A to the on position.
- Close pressure valve 1 and 2.
- Slowly increase the pressure to lift the cutting head by opening pressure valve 1 up until the cutting head is in its upper/top position.
- Now slowly increase the pressure by opening valve 2 until the cutting head starts to sink down.
- Slowly decrease the pressure by closing valve 2 so that the cutting head "swims" in its upper/top position. To test apply a little weight to the cutting head and it should start to sink down, but raise back up when you take weight off of it.
- Switch the valve A back into the off position and close the clamp D.
- Use the throttle valves E and F to set the speed with which the head moves up and down.
- Valves B and C move the head up and down when the clamp is released.
