The journal must  be replaced if it is broken or bent. For example if the cutting head strikes the edge of a sheet. When this happens, to avoid having to change the entire cutting tool, the journal is given a predetermined breaking point. A strong impact may nevertheless result in damage to the cutting tool. in this case, the entire cutting too must be replaced.

 

The steps below will show you how to replace the journal:
