Software and mechanical > 1mm deviation:

  • With the machine turned on and referenced, E-Stop is acknowledged (motors holding their position)
  • The SERVICE screen must be active (blue bar on top of screen) Press S3, then press S1, there is no password just click the green check (if password required try STDMMI). You are now logged into the service screen
  • Push F12 to enter the Diagnostic screen
  • Turn the Override down to 0% by pushing the Override – button (left click and pull mouse cursor down to decrease to zero) Blue bar Override = 0 %

*****************DANGER************************

  • Before entering the danger zone ensure that no one operates the machine whilst mechanically adjusting the bridge!

  • Slightly loosen the bolts which hold the bridge on top of the two base plates so that they are finger loose. There are bolts on both sides of the bracket!

IF YOUR MACHINE HAS DOVE TAILS ON THE BRIDGE BRACKETS, DO NOT LOOSEN THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE DOVETAIL!

DO NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE THE BOLTS FROM THE BRIDGE BRACKETS!

(pic30,31,32,33)

*********Get out of the danger zone!**********

  • Once the bridge bolts are loose push F9 key to change into the SETUP screen
  • Push F1 Reference
  • Push F1 Automatic and then Shift-F1 Start, the machine will now do a reference point drive.
  • When the reference drive is finished push F12 to enter the Diagnostic screen
  • Before entering the danger zone ensure that no one operates the machine whilst mechanically adjusting the bridge! Do not break the safety circuit or the motors will lose position! ****DANGER****

  • Tighten the bolts which hold the bridge on top of the two base plates WITHOUT breaking the safety circuit or losing power to the motors (pic30,31,32,33)

Adjusting the X-axis reference sensor position(s)

1) You need to determine which diagonal measurement of the cut sheet is longer than the other. If the difference between the two diagonal measurements is greater than 1mm a mechanical adjustment is needed. If it is 1mm or less you can make a software adjustment.

Mechanical Adjustment:

1) Move either the X-axis side A or side B sensor the difference between the two diagonal measurements + or - depending on which diagonal measurement is longer (photo below)

2) After making the reference sensor adjustment you must go through the squaring of the bridge process once more and then do another diagonal measurement test. If your diagonals are still not even you need to repeat the entire process unless you are less than a 1mm difference. In this case you can do a software adjustment as shown below.

Software adjustment:

• The machine is referenced and is switched on, E-Stop is acknowledged (motors holding their
position)
• The SERVICE screen must be active (blue bar on top of screen)
• Push F12 to enter the Diagnostic screen (pic 28)
• Push F6 Machine Data
• Push F6 Edit Machine Data
• Scroll down the list until MK_Synchronoffset is hi-lighted (pic29)
• Add or subtract the amount of deviation you have to the first value in the list [0]
• Push the Enter key to acknowledge the value
• Click on the green tick button, the popup box disappears
• Push F9 keys to change into the SETUP screen
• Push F1 Reference
• Push F1 Automatic and then Shift-F1 Start, the machine will now do a reference point
drive.
• When the reference point drive is finished push F11 to return to your normal working screen.
• Cut glass and check size and diagonal, repeat process if necessary until within desired
tolerance.

  • Push F11 to return to the normal user screen. You are now ready to perform the test in the link Diagonal cut measurement check.
  • If your diagonal measurements are not square then you need to make a mechanical or software adjustment in order to get the bridge square.

  • If your diagonal measurments are square you are ready to run production again.
