CAN-BUS connection cable for NANOTEC Motor

To be able to change the parameter settings in the Nanotec Motor (Grinding head up/down position) it is necessary to connect the CAN-BUS cable to the PLC and to start the Nanocan software. This should only be done when requested by HEGLA.

To do this follow the steps listed below:

1. Ensure you have a connection to the “outside world” e.g. TeamViewer.
2. Contact the Hegla Service in Atlanta  (404) 763-9700
3. Initialize an E-Stop on the machine and ensure that all safety precautions are taken.
4. Open the cabinet under the machine.
5. Set the end resistor settings on the single plug end to on (see photo below).

6. Set the end resistor settings on the double plug end to off (see photo below ).

7. Connect the USB end of the Lenze EMF adapter to the USB port of the machine (see photo below).

8. Connect the single plug end of the cable to the Lenze EMF adapter (see photo below).

9. Remove the existing plug on the Lenze CAN adapter in the cabinet under the machine (see photos below).

10. Connect the double plug to the Lenze CAN adapter (see photo below).

11. Connect the existing single plug to the back of the double plug (see photo below).

12. Call Hegla Service with online connection details so we can start the NanoCAN software and make adjustments as required (see photo below).
