Instructions for changing the width of the grinding wheel
If you are using a double pass edge deletion, you will need to make a change for the width of the grinding wheel in the Hegla.ini (It is good practice to change this value even if you are not using a double pass edge deletion). To change the value for the thickness of the grinding wheel:
1) Go to C:\STDMMI\Hegla.ini
2) Change the value for "Breite" under [BreiteSchleifScheibe]
3) The value is in inch decimal. (20mm wheel = 0.787)
4) If your new wheel has a width of 24mm then the "Breite" should equal 0.944 as shown in photo below
5) To save the new value, save the text file and restart the HMI program
Finally, check the grinding pattern in relation to the cutting pattern and repeat adjustment if necessary
